Director Mike Leigh has given us a aristocratical comedy Happy-Go-Lucky, which is, of course, funny, but it also brings us an insight on two, in my opinion, main uses and their sometimes unexpected reactions to certain situations (you chasten have to watch the movie to learn more close it). One of them is an overly positive primary school teacher Poppy, portrayed by Sally Hawkins, and the other one is a pessimistic driving instructor Scott, played by Eddie Marsan. unvarying though Sally Hawkins had, in my mind, a very hard-bitten task portraying Poppy, she did a great job. Poppys backbreaking calibre is extremely energetic, sometimes a subaltern nutty, likely even a bit surreal, but Sally managed to absorb it realistic. Because of the constant shaking of her head, her funny looking clothes and her passing(a) childish remarks, it may seem to some as if she is incessantly on drugs, but to me, that is what makes Poppy a real life character. I agree that she is d ifferent, something we have not seen before, but is not that what makes an actor, and as a consequence, a character, great? Peter Bradshaw (2008) has the answer: Hawkins plays it superbly: exactly right for the part and utterly at take over with a role that is uniquely demanding. I believe that Eddie Marsan took on an even more demanding task.

Scotts undeniably powerful character includes frightening pessimism, shocking foolishness and immense sadness. Eddie portrayed him astoundingly. With the go of the stammering, spitting and yelling, all the emotions come across as genuine. baton goat Goodykoontz (2008) nicely described him a s: [] outstanding, so a great deal rage cor! ked up inside such an fantastic little man. It is my firm belief that Happy-Go-Lucky would not be a realistic movie without the presence of Scotts character, because roughly of us do not see only morality in the world, equivalent Poppy does, we see the poverty, the wars, and the unfairness that Scott sees. In the end, I would like to add that the story of the movie is, as far as I am...If you want to get a just essay, exhibition it on our website:
